Daniel Schuman

Owner/CEO

Daniel A. Schuman, brings over two decades of expertise in the field of education, with a particular focus on the psychological and educational challenges adolescents face. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Anthropology & Anatomy and Psychology from Duke University, a Master's degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego, and is in the final stages of completing his doctoral dissertation on "The Development of Stereotype Susceptibility for Women in Mathematics." This research underscores his deep understanding of the college admissions process, with a keen focus on the factors influencing standardized test performance.

Daniel is a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles's College Counseling Certificate Program, a proud member of IECA (Independent Educational Consultants Association), and a seasoned instructor for admissions test preparation courses, having taught for Kaplan Test Prep. His extensive teaching experience includes working with prominent independent schools on the West Coast, such as Harvard-Westlake, Crossroads, The Buckley School, and Seattle Country Day School as well as working and being on the Board of Directors at a DC charter school. 

In addition to his academic and educational background, Daniel is a certified track and field coach, holding both USA Track and Field (USATF) Level 1 School Certification and Level 2 School Certification for Endurance, Sprints, Hurdles, and Relays. His personal accomplishments as an All-East track and cross country athlete at Duke University, combined with his coaching expertise, have guided numerous athletes to successful placements in NCAA Division 1, 2, and 3 institutions.
